This isn’t just a pretty face…Thus restored and modified 1966 VW Bus underwent a two and a half year makeover that included adding a 1996 Porsche 993 engine (3600cc displacement). The bottom 9 inches of the bus were cut away, and a new frame and roll cage were designed to make this buss haul – fast! It rides on modified 2000 Porsche 996 suspension front and rear. This one-off bus was created for FABCAR customer Charlie Slater. The bus will be featured in upcoming issues of HotVWs and Excellence magazines. |
In addition to highly customized on-off projects, and rare race car restoration projects, FABCAR has designed race cars and components for many of the top names in the profession. A small sampling of our customer list includes:
- Porsche Motorsports
- Porsche A.G.
- Mazda
- Patrick Racing
- Joe Gibbs Racing
